Dat Antwerpen volgestouwd is met leuke en gezellige plaatsjes, dat is algemeen geweten. Tinsel is het perfecte voorbeeld van hoe je in een hippe en drukke stad toch even tot rust kan komen zonder dat je je daarvoor mijlenver van het centrum moet begeven.

Antwerp is full of nice and cosy places to have a bite or a drink. Tinsel's the perfect example of how you can come to rest when being in a busy and cool city without having to walk that far away from the city center.
Tinsel vind je terug aan de Vlaamse kaai (ondertussen beter bekend als de plek waar de twee Antwerpse duo’s van mijn pop-up restaurant gevestigd zijn). Naast de frisse en verrukkelijke home-made limonades kan je er ook terecht voor een lekker ontbijt/brunch of een heerlijke lunch. Bestellen doe je aan de hand van een gepersonaliseerd briefje met bijbehorend potlood (terug te vinden op elke tafel) waarop je zelf je bestelling neerpent. Dit breng je vervolgens naar de bar en daar bereiden ze je bestelling waarna ze alles aan tafel komen brengen en dit met een grote glimlach. Een tof concept vind ik zelf.

Tinsel can be found at the Vlaamse Kaai. Beside the fresh and delicious home made lemonades, you can also have breakfast/brunch or enjoy a good lunch. If you'd like to order, you have to write your order down on an ordering sheet and give it to the bar staff. They'll prepare and bring your order back at your table after which you can enjoy your drinks and food. A nice concept I think.
Voor de zoetekauw is er steeds taart en ander lekkers voorzien. In combinatie met een lekkere koffie en een plaatsje op het terras wordt genieten echt heel gemakkelijk.

For the sweet tooth there's the opportunity to eat a nice slice of freshly baked pie and other goods. In combination with some coffee and a nice seat on the terrace it'll be very easy to enjoy your time there.
